Laboratory of Renewable Energy Sources
The laboratory was organized in 1981 by the decision of the Institute of Automation of the NAS of the Kyrgyz Republic.
From 1981 to 1983, the laboratory was headed by a doctoral student. Nashnitsyn V.I.
Since 1983 to the present time, the laboratory is headed by Obozov A.D.

- Unconventional environmentally friendly renewable energy sources (sun, wind, small watercourses, biomass, etc.)
Key results and achievements
- Development of the theory of calculation and construction of fundamentally new, birator microhydroelectric power plants.
- The development of theoretical foundations for the creation of low-potential solar thermal converters.
- Study of coaxial wind power plants in low wind flow zones.
- Creation of a multi-component system for the use of solar radiation energy and hidden enthalpy of the environment.
- Development of models of combined solar-wind and solar-heat pump systems, including hybrid Smart-Grid.
- Effective operation of biogas plants using waste heat of raw materials.
- A multi-layer resource map of renewable energy sources based on long-term meteorological data has been built.
According to the results of the works, 9 monographs were published, more than 20 patents were obtained, 10 candidate and 3 doctoral theses were defended. Implementation of the results was carried out with the participation of international projects and industrial implementation in the republic.
